A Note from Pastor Roger
Since the beginning of this year, we have been taking a closer look at our Christian faith and beliefs. What do you believe? Who is God? Who am I? Who is Jesus Christ? In the remaining week sprior to Lent, we will continue to look at other basic beliefs every Christian should know. Why? Because what we believe affects how we live. It causes us to examine our relationship with God
Paul writes in his letter to the Colossians, "Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. Because of these, the wrath of God is coming. You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. But now you must rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. Do not lie to each other, sine you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator." (3:5-10)
May the Lord continue his work in each of us as we strive to live in relationship with our Lord, Jesus Christ.
